The photographic archive contains over 80,000 reference photographs of British paintings, decorative painting, sculpture, drawings and prints covering the period 1500-1900, with particular emphasis on the eighteenth century.

The Centre holds some black-and-white negatives of works both in private and public collections. Prints can be supplied on request.
