The Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art has a long history of publishing distinguished books and catalogues on British art and architecture, in association with Yale University Press. In recent years, the PMC has also become a pioneer in the field of online publications.

We welcome proposals for books, online publications, or articles on all aspects of British art and architecture.

Prospective authors of books should submit a project proposal, table of contents and sample chapter for consideration. We also require an indication of the expected word count and the proposed number of images.

For online publications, please submit a detailed project proposal and a sample set of your images. Large files should be sent via an electronic file transfer service rather than by email. Guidelines for making a submission to British Art Studies can be found on the journal's website.

All proposals should be submitted in electronic form to Mark Hallett at mhallett@paul-mellon-centre.ac.uk and Emily Lees at elees@paul-mellon-centre.ac.uk.

The PMC provides generous support for authors and is committed to publishing original, rigorous and creative scholarship of the highest standards.
