Our Archivist and Records Manager, Charlotte Brunskill, will be taking part in the two day workshop Curating the Archive taking place at the Whitechapel Gallery on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 November.

Charlotte will be running the first session the event titled Initial Practicalities and Approaches where she will explore the practicalities of working with records in an arts and heritage organisation. Using experience drawn from both her work here at the Centre and at the National Portrait Gallery, Charlotte's session also aims to explore some of the issues involved in managing both the institution's own records and collected archives; suggest key elements required for successful management of records & archive material and outline practical approaches to common situations.

Curating the Archive will then continue with further sessions that look at copyright, cataloguing and conservation. More information and details on how to book a ticket to the event can be found here.
