Kaissa Karhu
As Networks Manager (Parental Leave Cover), Kaissa is responsible for ensuring the development, growth and effective delivery of the PMC’s networks for art researchers and professionals. This includes the British Art Network (BAN) which is supported by both the PMC and Tate, the Early Career Researchers Network (ECRN) and Doctoral Researchers Network (DRN).
Before joining the Centre, Kaissa worked at University College London as the Co-Creation and Content Manager for a public engagement project addressing the legacy of eugenics and the impact it continues to have on marginalised communities. Prior to this, Kaissa managed UCL’s Sarah Parker Remond Centre for the Study of Racism and Racialisation, a hub for scholarship and public discourse on racial inequality. She has also previously worked with the National Poetry Library, Rainmaker Gallery and Phillips New York.
Kaissa holds an MA in Arts and Cultural Management from King’s College London.
