The welcome keynote for the AAXX100: AA Women and Architecture in Context, 1917-2017 conference will be a conversation between the AA School Interim Director and author of Cedric Price Works Samantha Hardingham and co-founder of dRMM Architects Sadie Morgan. In the talk, entitled "Being First" Samantha and Sadie will not only discuss their careers to date but also the successes and challenges they've encountered along the way.
This welcome keynote by two leading women in architecture will be a fitting way to open the international conference, which celebrates the centenary anniversary of women's admission to the Architectural Association School of Architecture. Co-convened by the AA School and Paul Mellon Centre the three-day conference will continye to celebrate women in architecture with a variety of papers, panel discussions, keynotes and an Open Jury.
