New Vacancy: Assistant Librarian

The Centre is seeking an Assistant Librarian to help the Librarian in the day to day running of the Centre’s library with the aim of ensuring that it fulfils its remit as an outstanding library for the study of British art and architecture.

The main duties of the post are acquiring and processing stock and cataloguing library collections. The postholder will also work on the public service and undertake library outreach activities. This post carries specific responsibility for managing the Public Study Room of the Archives & Library. The postholder will also work with the Librarian & other relevant Paul Mellon Centre staff to develop new outreach and collections initiatives with the aim of engaging with wider audiences as well as revising procedures and practices to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the library.

Salary will be in the range of £30,000 to £33,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This post is permanent and full time and the hours of work are 35 per week.
