New Freelance Opportunity: Contributing Editor, British Art Studies

  • 14 February 2022
Since the launch of British Art Studies in 2015, the journal has grown in scope and ambition. The British Art Studies team are now looking for someone who is committed to expanding both the histories of British art and digital publishing as a freelance Contributing Editor.
The Contributing Editor will be engaged on a freelance basis for two years from April 2022. A fixed fee of £10,000 p.a. is offered.
British Art Studies is edited collaboratively by a team in London and New Haven. The team are keen for the new Contributing Editor to help develop editorial expertise and shape the future direction of BAS, maintaining its reputation for scholarly excellence, responsiveness to authors and creative experimentation. The Contributing Editor will also contribute to two current projects at the journal: a major redesign happening throughout 2022, and the remote residency programme “Atlantic Worlds: Visual Cultures of Colonialism, Slavery, and Racism”.
