Congratulations to the Turner Prize Nominees
- 19 April 2022
The Paul Mellon Centre is pleased to have recently worked with three of the four artists nominated for this year’s Turner Prize:
Veronica Ryan was featured on an episode of the podcast Sculpting Lives. In the episode, hosts Sarah Victoria Turner and Jo Baring interview Ryan as they walk through her biggest and most significant exhibition to date, Along a Spectrum, at Spike Island. They discuss issues of invisibility, belonging and identity.
Ingrid Pollard is the subject of an upcoming conference connected to her exhibition and first major survey of her forty-year career, Carbon Slowly Turning at MK Gallery. The Centre has also supported the exhibition catalogue through a Publications Grant.
Sin Wai Kin was one of the artists commissioned to make a digital artwork for the London, Asia, Art, Worlds, event series. The work Carrier Bag Music invites the listener to traverse seamlessly from imaginary realm to realm through a non-linear seductive soundscape of literary and musical motifs.
