Tickets are now on sale for Crossing the Channel: French Refugee Artists in London (1870-1904), an international conference at Tate Britain and the Paul Mellon Centre.

Organised in conjunction with the current show at Tate Britain, Impressionists in London: French Artists in Exile (1870–1904), this two-day conference Crossing the Channel: French Refugee Artists in London (1870–1904) aims to uncover and stimulate new research on Anglo-French networks between the Franco-Prussian war and the Entente Cordiale in 1904, as well as the influence of French teaching methods on British education.

The conference starts with a keynote lecture by MaryAnne Stevens on 25th January at Tate Britain and follows with a full days conference at the Paul Mellon Centre on 26th January.
