Exhibition: Holding the Vision: Collecting the Art of the Book in the Industrial North West

  • 28 January 2020

Holding the Vision: Collecting the Art of the Book in the Industrial North West, an exhibition supported by a Paul Mellon Centre Curatorial Research Grant, is on view at Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery from 1 February to 16 March 2020.

This is the first major exhibition to explore the hidden collections of rare books in the North West. Featuring collections held by the Harris Museum, the Blackburn with Darwen Library and Information Service, Towneley Hall Museum and Art Gallery, and the Grundy Art Gallery, the exhibition tells the stories of the books themselves and the people who collected them.
