New Head of Research and Learning Appointed

The Paul Mellon Centre is delighted to announce that Dr Sria Chatterjee has been appointed to the new position of Head of Research and Learning.

Sria is currently an Advanced Researcher at the Academy of Art and Design, FHNW in Basel, and an Associate Scholar at the Max-Planck Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florence. She holds a BA and MA in History of Art from Oxford University, and an MA and PhD in Art History from Princeton University. She is a wide-ranging writer and researcher, who works on the intersection of art, science and environment with a focus on questions around racial and environmental justice. Sria founded and currently leads the online project Visualizing the Virushttps://visualizingthevirus.com/ and has also recently played an important role at the Paul Mellon Centre itself, as a much-valued contributing editor to British Art Studies. She will take up her new position at the Centre in January 2022.
