Mark Girouard: A Double Celebration

by Mark Hallett

  • 6 October 2021

This month the distinguished architectural historian Mark Girouard celebrates his 90th birthday. We are delighted that October will also see the publication of his long-awaited book, A Biographical Dictionary of English Architecture, 1540–1640. The product of many decades’ worth of research, the book is a treasure trove of information about some six hundred master craftsmen, surveyors, designers and patrons at work in this period. It is published by the Centre on October 26th.
