New Film: Frank Auerbach: Drawings of People

To mark the Paul Mellon Centre’s publication of the book Frank Auerbach: Drawings of People, we have commissioned a film of the same name by Jonathan Law. The film records an in-depth conversation that took place between the artist Frank Auerbach and the book’s editors, Mark Hallett and Catherine Lampert, in November 2022, and is illustrated by numerous examples of the artist’s remarkable portrait drawings, made across six decades. It provides a compelling introduction to Auerbach and his graphic art.
