The new issue of the Paul Mellon Centre newsletter, PMC Notes, is now published and available to pick up for free from the Centre.
Ahead of the launch of The Royal Academy of Arts: A Chronicle, 1769–2018 and The Great Spectacle, this issue of PMC Notes features an interview with Mark Pomeroy, archivist at the Royal Academy, along with a Great Spectacle preview from Mark Hallett, director of the Paul Mellon Centre, and a look towards our next drawing-room display, Supporting the Spectacle: The Summer Exhibition and its Spin-offs.
To highlight our Curatorial Research Grants, Trish Scott, curator at Turner Contemporary, explores Collaborative Curating. This issue also includes reports on the Crossing the Channel conference, the Look of Music series and the Peter and Renate Nahum donation of material to the Centre. Alongside the usual events calendar, there is a preview of Bedford Square Festival and an introduction to The Art of Protest, one of the events taking place during the Festival.
PMC Notes is also available online and can be read here.
