New Publication Committee Members

The Centre is delighted to announce the appointment of three distinguished scholars to our Publications Committee.

Paul Binski FBA is Emeritus Professor of Medieval Art at the University of Cambridge. His many publications include four books published with the support of the Centre: Westminster Abbey and the Plantagenets: Kingship and the Representation of Power, 1200–1400 (1995); Becket's Crown: Art and Imagination in Gothic England, 1170–1300 (2004); Gothic Wonder: Art, Artifice, and the Decorated Style, 1290–1350 (2014); and Gothic Sculpture (2019).

Saloni Mathur is Professor of Art History at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her areas of speciality include the visual cultures of modern South Asia and its diasporas, colonial studies and postcolonial criticism, and museum studies in a global frame. She is the author of India by Design: Colonial History and Cultural Display (2007) and A Fragile Inheritance: Radical Stakes in Contemporary India Art (2019), and the editor of The Migrant’s Time: Rethinking Art History and Diaspora (2011).

Carol Tulloch is Professor of Dress, Diaspora and Transnationalism at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, UK. She is also the Chelsea College of Arts/Victoria and Albert Museum Fellow in Black British Visual and Material Culture. She is the author of numerous publications, including The Birth of Cool: Style Narratives of the African Diaspora (2016). She was the co-curator of the V&A touring exhibition Black British Style (2004), and co-edited the accompanying catalogue.
