We are delighted to announce that Write On Art, the prize for young art writers sponsored by Art UK and the Centre, is back!
Write on Art was designed to highlight the importance of art and art history as an academic discipline, as well as the broader benefits of sharing ideas about art through good writing. The competition, now in its second year, is free to enter and has two categories, Years 10/11 and Years 12/13. Starting with choosing at artwork from the Art UK website, the entrants will then write 400-600 words (depending on the age category), either describing or showing research into the artwork. The winners of each prize will then have their submission featured on the Art UK and Paul Mellon Centre websites and will win a cash prize.
