As Editorial Assistant, Tom is responsible for providing editorial and administrative support for the Paul Mellon Centre’s research publications, both in print and online.

Working with the Centre’s two editors, he supports both the production of book publications and British Art Studies, the PMC’s online research journal.

Before joining the Centre, Tom was a freelance researcher and writer. Most recently, he worked with the estate of William Crozier on their works-on-paper collection. He also contributed to projects at the Centre, providing research for the exhibition The Great Spectacle: 250 Years of the Summer Exhibition and the online publication The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition: A Chronicle, 1769–2018.

Tom holds an MA in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London, and a BA in English from the University of Nottingham.
