Receptionist
To assist the Operations team in the day-to-day running of the Centre’s Front of House.
The main duties of the post are to be the first point of contact for all PMC visitors, either in person or on the phone, and ensuring that it is a safe and welcoming place for all staff and visitors.
The postholder will work closely with the Operations Coordinator and Events Assistant to keep the public areas of the building clean, tidy and presentable, and to make sure the reception desk is always staffed.
The role will involve administrative tasks such as: taking messages; photocopying; managing incoming and outgoing post; coordinating couriers and taxis; monitoring stationery and kitchen supply stock levels; and keeping internal diaries up to date.
The Receptionist will assist with staff and visitor well-being, such as giving refreshments, and will provide ad hoc support to the Events team in the form of setting up, preparing and clearing up meeting rooms.
It will also be necessary to make sure safety procedures are followed and that any concerns are reported to the Operations team as soon as possible.
This post is permanent and full-time, and the hours of work are 35 per week.
The salary will be £26,000 per annum.

Desirable skills and competences:
- Experience of working in a space open to the public
- First Aid and/or Fire Warden qualification
