British Art in Motion
Access
We are committed to ensuring this opportunity is open and accessible to all, and there is a budget in place for helping the eight chosen applicants to attend the filmmaking residency. This might include support for a professional assistant or specific travel and accommodation needs or help if you are facing particular financial barriers which would prevent you from participating. If you are unsure whether our provision will cover your needs, we would be very happy to have a chat with you to discuss how support could be planned and to put your mind at ease. We appreciate such conversations can be difficult and promise to keep any information shared fully confidential. Please contact our Learning Programme Manager, Rachel Prosser, at [email protected] if you would like to discuss this further.
Travel and Accommodation
For the eight applicants chosen to take part in the filmmaking residency, PMC will cover the cost of travel to and from London (within the UK), accommodation in London and some meals. PMC will also fund your travel to London for the Film Festival, where the eight applicants’ films will be screened later in 2025.
Filmmaking Costs
After the filmmaking residency, all eight participants will each have access to a £500 fund to cover the cost of making their films, including licensing fees, equipment costs, travel to filming locations, insurance and permissions to film on private property, amongst other things. This will be held and administered by PMC.
