Art Teachers Connect
Art Teachers Connect (formerly known as Plan Prepare Provide) offers a unique opportunity for art and art history teachers across the UK to develop their confidence, gain new skills and collect a diverse range of resources for the delivery of both academic and practical art lessons.
The programme encompasses an annual three-day residential; stand-alone continuing professional development (CPD) sessions for the network of alumni and applicants; and a targeted follow-on postgraduate certificate in “Developing Teachers’ Research and Practice”.
One teacher described the residential programme as “the best CPD that I have had in twenty seven years of teaching ... genuinely powerful”.

Art Teachers Connect: Art Teachers Residential
Art Teachers Connect was launched in 2017 by the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds, in partnership with the Association for Art History, to provide critical advice, insight and experience from current art and art history teachers, academics and arts professionals.
In 2020, the Paul Mellon Centre (PMC) announced that we would sponsor Art Teachers Connect for three years. In 2023 the PMC committed to a further three years of funding, ending in 2026.
