I am happy to say that I enjoyed every aspect of my Yale in London experience, especially being able to study Shakespeare and experience productions of the plays in his hometown of Stratford-Upon-Avon. In addition I studied 17th Century British art and was able to view an incredible amount of original paintings in all of the museums. I lived with students from other programs in a wonderful house in the Bayswater area near Kensington Gardens. The location was allowed me the pleasure of running every day in Hyde Park. Like many students abroad I was able to travel to neighbouring countries on weekends and during breaks which allowed me to experience many different cultures in Europe. After the semester was over I stayed in London to work for a local restaurant and then continued traveling from Copenhagen to Italy.
I recommend the experience to anyone who is interested in history, art, and immersing themselves in another culture. The courses were challenging and the city of London provided a wonderful backdrop for exploring pubs, gardens, antique stores, and museums. Thank you Yale!
I am currently an Executive Producer for CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert which debuted on September 8, 2015. I am responsible for all aspects of production for the show on a daily basis. Previously I worked at The Colbert Report as a Co-Executive Producer from the show’s inception in 2005 through its end in December 2014. In addition to regular episodes, I produced many of the show’s specials, including ones in Philadelphia for the 2008 presidential primary, the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, BC the Rally To Restore Sanity And or Fear on the National Mall in Washington, DC in 2010, as well as segments from the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia and a show with President Obama in Washington, D.C in 2014. In 2009 I helped produce live-to-tape episodes of The Colbert Report in Baghdad, Iraq, the only time complete shows were broadcast from a war zone.
