Activating Art History: 50 Years of the Paul Mellon Centre Grants & Fellowships Programme
Date of event: Saturday 30 May 2020
Location: Paul Mellon Centre
In celebration of the Centre’s 50th anniversary, and more specifically the Centre’s Fellowships & Grants programme, we are looking for recipients of PMC funding to participate in a series of dynamic ‘one object’ talks. These will take place on Saturday 30 May, between panels on publishing, curating and digital projects given by curators, scholars, academics and authors who have contributed to the study of British art history. Our idea is that the event will give an insight into how British art history can be activated through very different formats, projects and approaches!
We are asking participants to talk for up to ten minutes on an object or image, showcasing a research project that has received Paul Mellon Centre funding. In the session, two sets of two participants will each speak before a Q&A/discussion.
To register interest in giving a ‘one object’ talk please email Harriet Fisher [email protected] with a short description of the object and project you would like to discuss.
Closing date for proposals: Monday 2 March 2020
