About the speaker

  • As the Country House Project Research Assistant, Freddie is helping to deliver the PMC’s digital publication Art and the Country House. Working closely with the Director of Studies, Freddie is leading the curation of a display drawn from the PMC’s photographic archive of British art.

    From 2017 to 2018, Freddie worked as a photographer, archivist and researcher on the drawings of the late artist and Professor of Painting at the Royal College of Art, Peter de Francia. Since 2018, he has worked as a freelance researcher for the PMC on the Photo Archive digitisation project.

    Freddie holds a BA in History of Art and an MA on British modernism from the Courtauld Institute of Art.
