DRN: Publish or Perish? A Roundtable on Publishing for PhD Researchers

DRN Events – Lucy Bradnock, Edwin Coomasaru, Steve Edwards

  • 3 December 2024
  • 5:30 – 7:00 pm
  • This is an event for Doctoral Researchers Network (DRN) members. You can find out more about the network here.
  • Online

PhD researchers often feel pressured to publish their research but it is often unclear on exactly what to publish, where to publish it and how to navigate the publication process. Tailored for those currently studying for a PhD, this informal roundtable is a fantastic opportunity to hear from editors of three leading art history journals: Art History, the Oxford Art Journal and British Art Studies.

We will begin with an informal discussion with our panellists, which will cover topics such as identifying the right forum for research, essential tips for submission and balancing the pressure of publication with your day-to-day research. However, this event is also designed to give you an opportunity to ask your questions on any aspect of publication in an open and friendly setting.
