Eileen Hogan: Squares, Gardens and Portraiture Talk
Paul Mellon Centre

Join us for a conversation and lunch with the artist Eileen Hogan. Two dominant themes have emerged in Hogan’s recent work: gardens and portraiture. Working across different media, Hogan is an acute observer of the fleeting details of nature and of people. On her daily walks to and from her studio, Hogan has become fascinated by the inner worlds of London’s garden squares. Likewise, her portraits capture something other than the visible appearance of her sitters. On the occasion of a survey exhibition at the Yale Center for British Art, Hogan will discuss the inspirations and interests that have inspired her.

This event will be followed by a picnic lunch in Bedford Square.
