Fellows Lunch: Curator Series event by Carla Mitchell, Head of Four Corners' artistic programme development and Four Corners and Camerawork archive project
Four Corners and Camerawork were two examples of innovatory, workshop-based cultural film and photographic practice characteristic of the radical 1970s and early 1980s. This presentation will explore the curatorial approaches involved in assembling photographs, films, publications, documents and oral histories for an online archive and public exhibition. Through a discussion of the archival research process, this talk will trace the different and sometimes contradictory histories involved.
The Fellows Lunch: Curatorial Series is a set of four free lunchtime research talks given by recipients of Paul Mellon Centre Curator Research Grants. All are welcome but please book a ticket in advance.
