Join us for an exciting opportunity to visit the Bloomsbury studio of Howard Hodgkin, the space in which the renowned abstract painter and printmaker worked from in the late 1980s until his death in 2017. The remarkable space is a converted nineteenth-century dairy, filled with a collection of Hodgkin’s work from across his six-decade-long career. We will also be viewing a range of material from the Hodgkin Studio archive. The visit will be led by Matthew Burdis, archivist at the Hodgkin Estate; Antony Peattie, Hodgkin’s partner of thirty-three years; and Andy Barker, Hodgkin’s long-time studio assistant.
The studio visit will be followed by a social lunch at the Paul Mellon Centre (PMC), a short walk away, giving DRN members an opportunity to meet and network in an informal setting.
Ticket numbers are limited, so please book ASAP if you would like to come. DRN members will be able to claim their travel costs from PMC.
PMC are happy to accommodate any access requirements attendees may have. Please do get in touch with Anthony Tino on [email protected] if you have any questions.
