Meet our authors and hear more about our new publications
Please join us for the inaugural Book Night at the Paul Mellon Centre, where we will celebrate our latest publications by asking authors to discuss their research and answer questions about their books.
The evening will begin with welcome drinks in the Library and an introduction by the Centre’s Director of Studies, Mark Hallett. Guests will then be able to attend short presentations by each of the night’s four authors, which we hope will give a lively and engaging snapshot of the exciting new research that we have recently published.
Confirmed authors taking part in PMC Book Night:
- Tara Hamling and Catherine Richardson – A Day at Home in Early Modern England: Material Culture and Domestic Life, 1500–1700
- Ben Highmore – The Art of Brutalism: Rescuing Hope from Catastrophe in 1950s Britain
- Lynda Nead – The Tiger in the Smoke: Art and Culture in Post-War Britain
