Research & Writing Workshop for Students

This workshop is open to all students of art history and cover topics from how to use an archive collection effectively to writing an amazing first sentence. Paul Mellon Centre’s staff will offer step-by-step guidance about planning, researching and writing for art historians.

The workshop will feature sessions on:

  • Finding a dissertation topic/ question
  • Original research: using archival material
  • How to write an effective introduction
  • Getting started: the PMC’s research resources

These sessions will provide plenty of opportunity to ask questions and tea and cake will be served at the end.
