Roundtable: My Lockdown Image

We’re excited to announce that the first ECRN event of the new year, Roundtable: My Lockdown Image, will take place on Zoom on Tuesday 23 February, between 2 pm and 5pm.

This event is intended as an informal forum where members can share their research, test out ideas, and establish new contacts with peers. The roundtable will consist of a series of five-minute papers, each concentrating on just one image/object. In the context of the current pandemic, we will be asking speakers to talk about an image or an object that they have been engaged with over the last twelve months. We will also be encouraging them to reflect on how their work on this image/object has been shaped by the disrupted research environment in which we are currently operating. In this way, we hope not only to share our research in a supportive setting, but also to highlight constructive ways of responding to the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. You do not need to be presenting work to attend this event. We welcome an audience who would like to listen and learn.

We welcome proposals for papers from members of the network. Please send us one image/object and a brief 100-word text outlining your interest in this work to [email protected] by Thursday 18 February.
