‘I want to release an energy of image from trivial data. I feel happiest among discarded things … fragments cast casually from life, with the fizz of vitality still about them.’
We will have the chance to hear how the exhibition was conceived and developed – a valuable opportunity for any DRN members wishing to learn about curatorial practice. For those working in the field, Henderson's part in the Independent Group and informal art networks of post-war London present exciting new ways of engaging with the period. A series of films by Jonathan Law, commissioned by the PMC and distributed digitally, also give the opportunity to consider the new media of art historical analysis.
The tour will be given before Tate Britain opens to the public. Attendance is limited.
